EUniWell partner Semmelweis University leads nationwide Covid-19 testing campaign in Hungary

As four Hungarian medical schools undertake a nationwide representative Covid-19 testing project, Semmelweis University takes the lead.

The four universities of Debrecen, Szeged and Pécs, together with Semmelweis University taking the lead, conduct a representative Covid-19 screening and testing campaign in Hungary, beginning May 1. The objective is to test more than 17,000 individuals, using PCR tests which can detect traces of the virus’ genetic material, in order to achieve a comprehensive database for further Covid-19 measures in Hungary.

More than 1,000 personnel will take part in the two-week study which will lead to a nation-wide clinical epidemiology study. Find out more here and here.
