Intercampus Seminars
Intercampus Seminars are a collaborative teaching format within EUniWell. They offer an accessible opportunity to bring your seminar to another EUniWell university and strengthen collaboration across institutional borders.
Key objectives and benefits for educators include:
- Low-threshold access to international academic cooperation
- Broader networking opportunities and potential research partnerships
- Improved collaboration among educators, students, and researchers across member universities
- Access to unique resources and experiences that enrich teaching and learning
What is an Intercampus Seminar?
An Intercampus Seminar is a teaching format in which a group of students and their educator(s) travel from one EUniWell university (the guest university) to another (the host university) to conduct part or all of a seminar over a period of 2–5 days. Several variations are possible, including:
- Seminars that rely on a unique resource or experience at the host university (e.g., access to local archives or specific non-academic partners)
- Seminars in which one educator teaches students from both universities
- Joint seminars in which educators from both universities co-teach students from both universities
- Seminars where students from the guest university join a session of a seminar at the host university
Academic framework
Intercampus Seminars are characterised by the following general conditions:
- Collaboration with at least one EUniWell member university
- Involvement of educators from both the guest and host institutions
- Participation of a limited number of students to ensure intensive exchange
- Duration of the joint phase: 2–5 days
- ECTS recognition, where applicable, is organised by the students’ home universities
Additional conditions:
- Intercampus Seminars should relate to at least one of EUniWell’s Thematic Arenas
- Academic responsibility and course integration remain with the home universities
- Funding opportunities are administered by the respective home institutions and are intended to support travel and accommodation costs, if possible
