Master’s programmes

In line with EUniWell’s Thematic Arenas and closely linked to specific United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), EUniWell’s master’s programmes draw on academic fields in which the Alliance’s institutions have recognised and complementary expertise. They train professionals capable of addressing the major challenges of the twenty-first century. All EUniWell master’s programmes place well-being at the centre of a resolutely interdisciplinary, European, and impact-oriented approach.

They embody EUniWell’s vision: to transcend disciplinary and national boundaries and prepare professionals who can respond to complex, real-world challenges. Whether transforming healthcare practices or building a more just and peaceful world, they offer training that is rigorous, international, and deeply human.

A shared vision: well-being as a compass

  1. Well-being as the guiding principle: All master’s programmes place well-being at the centre, whether that of patients, individuals, or societies. It is not just one theme among many, but the prism through which everything is approached.

  2. Skills-oriented programmes: In line with European priorities and the European Commission’s Union of Skills  guidelines, all EUniWell master’s programmes are skills-oriented and focus on employability.
  3. Joint delivery by several partner universities: None of them is simply “a programme offered by one university with partners”; they are truly co-developed and co-delivered by several institutions, encouraging interdisciplinarity.

  4. A focus on action and change: EUniWell’s master’s programmes explicitly train students to transform their environments. They are not purely academic master’s degrees: they aim to have a concrete impact in the real world, responding to identified emergencies such as ageing populations, inequalities, conflicts, and climate change. They do not train for a stable world, but for a changing one.

  5. A truly international setting: EUniWell’s master’s programmes are taught in English as much as possible, to attract students from all over the world and create a truly diverse learning community – not just a European one. However, multilingualism is also strongly encouraged, through language courses or options to study in the local language. Mobility – short or long term – is not optional or symbolic: it is structurally integrated into all EUniWell degree programmes.
