Quick facts about EUniWell
History
EUniWell – the European University for Well-Being – was established in 2020 through the European Universities Initiative. It initially comprised seven universities from across Europe and has since grown to twelve members.
After a successful three-year pilot phase, EUniWell entered its second funding phase in November 2023, supported by renewed Erasmus+ funding. This phase introduced the “EUniWell 2030: Strategy Framework and Strategy Questions”, which sets out a roadmap for EUniWell’s development as a European University dedicated to well-being.
Distinctions
What sets EUniWell apart from other European University Alliances is its emphasis on well-being as a central theme, addressing challenges such as climate change, societal inequality, and health crises.
EUniWell aims to create a measurable impact through research, education, and civic engagement, aligning its efforts with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
EUniWell also fosters innovative, challenge-based curricula and seamless mobility for students and staff across its partner universities.
