Centre for Advanced Studies
A space for interdisciplinary research, exchange, and dialogue on well-being
The EUniWell Centre for Advanced Studies (CAS) brings together EUniWell experts, external experts, and, where appropriate, consultants to explore inter- and transdisciplinary ideas, projects, and research questions related to well-being.
Based on the EUniWell Research and Innovation (R&I) Framework, the CAS provides a space for exchange and dialogue around emerging challenges and opportunities, with a focus on developing research outputs, joint research proposals, and policy documents.
Foresight and dialogue
The CAS develops foresight activities exploring the relevance of major developments for well-being. Its thematic areas include the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), digital transformation, the future of work, innovation and entrepreneurship, and artificial intelligence and new and emerging technologies.
The CAS also provides a setting for encounters between researchers and experts from different disciplines and backgrounds, helping to develop new inter- and transdisciplinary ideas and collaborations.
CAS Symposia
The CAS hosts two symposia each year on critical topics related to well-being.
The symposia bring together participants from across EUniWell, including EUniWell Champions, EUniWell PostDoc Fellows from the EUniWell SPARK Scheme, and winners of the EUniWell Seed Funding Programme, as well as selected external visiting fellows.
Explore the EUniWell Event Calendar for information about upcoming CAS Symposia and other opportunities to take part.
Research and collaboration
The CAS aims to translate exchange and dialogue into inter- and transdisciplinary research outputs and joint research proposals. Its activities include monitoring progress in research outputs and proposals emerging from the CAS.
