Mobility Schemes
Connect. Learn. Move across Europe.
Mobility is at the heart of EUniWell’s vision of a truly European University. We offer students, researchers, educators, and university staff a wide range of opportunities to learn, teach, collaborate, and exchange across institutional and national borders. Going beyond traditional study exchanges, EUniWell embraces physical, virtual, and blended mobility. This flexible approach makes international experiences accessible to a broader range of participants while supporting inclusion, intercultural exchange, and more sustainable forms of mobility.
Current mobility offers
Find out about incoming and outgoing mobility at each EUniWell member university, including information on local requirements, application procedures, and support for mobility participants.
EUniWell member institutions offer two types of mobility opportunities for students, researchers, and staff. These opportunities allow people to spend time at another university to study or work.
- Inbound mobility – Opportunities for students, researchers, and staff from other universities to come to an EUniWell member institution to study or work.
- Outbound mobility – Opportunities for students, researchers, and staff at an EUniWell member institution to travel to another university abroad to study or work.

Opportunities include:
- Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs)
- Summer and Winter Schools
- International courses and training programmes
- Semester-long courses at partner universities
- Internships and practical training
- Virtual workshops and collaborative learning activities
These opportunities allow students to gain academic knowledge in an international setting, develop intercultural competencies, and build connections with peers across Europe.

Mobility for researchers, educators, and professional staff
EUniWell also supports mobility and exchange among researchers, educators, and professional staff. Opportunities include Staff Weeks, research secondments, training courses, Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs), academic and staff exchanges, webinars, and blended teaching formats.
By sharing expertise, methods, and good practices across institutions, these activities strengthen collaboration within the Alliance and contribute to a more connected European academic community.

Flexible formats for diverse needs
EUniWell mobility schemes are designed to accommodate different circumstances, schedules, and levels of international experience.
- Physical mobility offers an immersive experience at another EUniWell campus or location.
- Virtual mobility enables participants to connect and collaborate online without travelling.
- Blended mobility combines online learning with a physical component, bringing together the benefits of both formats.
Mobility opportunities also vary in duration, from short-term activities such as workshops and intensive programmes to longer stays and research exchanges.
Towards inclusive and sustainable mobility
EUniWell is committed to making mobility more inclusive, accessible, and sustainable. The Alliance aims to reduce barriers to participation and ensure that international experiences are available to diverse groups of students and staff. Its mobility model also promotes sustainable travel options and seeks to reduce the environmental impact of international collaboration.
Building a seamless European mobility experience
EUniWell is continuously developing its mobility portfolio to make it easier for members of the Alliance to find and participate in opportunities across partner universities. By connecting campuses, disciplines, and communities, EUniWell aims to create a seamless European mobility experience in which students, researchers, educators, and staff can learn from one another and contribute to a shared European academic community.
