Course description

This online course offers a captivating introduction to international trade and economic globalisation mechanisms. Whether you are a beginner or more advanced in international economics, this MOOC will enable you to acquire the essential knowledge to understand the current challenges of our globalised world.

The International Economics MOOC is peppered with definitions of key concepts, accessible illustrations, creative games, portraits of key authors in international economics, references to extend your knowledge and examples rooted in Inalco's areas of study. The different reading paths it offers make it a MOOC suitable for the simply curious as well as for students of grandes écoles, bachelor's and master's degrees.

This MOOC stands out for its original approach, which alternates between theories, regulations, statistical data and case studies. By following this course, you will understand the mechanisms of global free trade and grasp the reasons that have led to the current economic globalisation.

Schedule

This course is asynchronous, with 15 hours of classes in total, divided into 24 sessions of roughly 40 min each.
The course is divided into 5 weeks, containing 4 to 5 sessions and requiring about 3 hours of work per week; however, it is a self-paced program, and students are free to adapt the pace of studies to their needs.

Requirements

Students must register on the Fun-Mooc platform to access the course content. Enrolment on Fun-Mooc is free and open to all.
The link to enroll on the Fun-Mooc platform will be sent to selected students after the end of the nomination period.

Students should have the following language knowledge:
French B1 or English B1 (the MOOC is integrally available in both languages).
