A new milestone for the master’s degree programme in Global Peace, Justice and Well-Being: EUniWell double-degree agreement signed
A new milestone has been reached for the EUniWell master’s degree programme in Global Peace, Justice and Well-Being: the Rectors of the University of Florence and Linnaeus University have signed the agreement establishing a double-degree pathway between the two universities.
Developed within the EUniWell Alliance, the programme brings together perspectives from law, peace and conflict studies, human rights, sustainability, economics and social sciences. It equips students with the knowledge and skills to understand the complex relationships between law, peace, justice and human well-being to address some of today’s most pressing global challenges. The programme is delivered in collaboration with the University of Murcia in Spain and the Global Governance Institute in Brussels.
An international and interdisciplinary learning experience
The two-year double-degree programme combines 42 ECTS of jointly designed and co-taught modules, 30 ECTS dedicated to the final dissertation, and additional courses offered at both universities. Through international collaborative teaching, students have the opportunity to learn alongside peers and academics from different European countries, developing intercultural competences and building international networks.
The programme also offers opportunities for physical mobility. Students can enrich their studies through an Erasmus+ placement at the partner university, experiencing a different academic environment and gaining first-hand exposure to another European context.
The programme’s flexible learning model combines online international teaching with face-to-face education at the University of Florence, while its interdisciplinary curriculum addresses topics including European and international law, human rights, environmental and climate law, peace and conflict, mediation, labour and welfare, sustainability and global governance.
