School Ambassador Campus in Florence: Student collaboration resulting in a podcast and a booklet
Early October, the University of Florence hosted EUniWell School Ambassadors for a three-day Campus event focused on recording a podcast and creating a booklet from the students’ perspective.
The EUniWell School Ambassador Programme was initiated with the goal of empowering young high school students by inspiring them to pursue higher education. The Programme strengthens connections between EUniWell universities and local schools, fosters community ties, and promotes social diversity and equal opportunities for all students.
As part of these efforts, the “EUniCast” podcast was developed. Its purpose is to guide students in navigating university life by sharing tips, advice, and insights on academic life. Recorded by School Ambassadors, the podcast highlights opportunities at EUniWell universities and across the European higher education landscape, drawing on the Ambassadors’ personal experiences. After three productive days, the first three episodes of the podcasts were recorded at the UniFi Multimedia Lab.
In addition to the podcast, a booklet is being created for the next generation of School Ambassadors at EUniWell universities. The booklet will guide Ambassadors through the key aspects of their role, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to become passionate and effective in their work. It will include learning material to ensure high-quality training, maximising the positive impact Ambassadors can have on younger students.
