Artificial Intelligence for Well-being: Opportunities and Challenges
19/05/2025
On 19 May 2025, from 14:30–17:00 CEST / 13:30–16:00 BST / 15:30–18:00 EEST, the University of Florence will host the closing seminar of the Artificial Intelligence Ethics for Well-being (AI4Well) project. The project, funded through EUniWell’s 6th Seed Funding Call, has explored the potential of Artificial Intelligence to promote human well-being and the ethical questions that arise from its use.
The event will include two parts: In the morning, an in-person session directed towards local students will take place at the University of Florence. The main afternoon session, open to a broader audience, will be hosted separately from the morning activities and will focus on presenting the project’s key results. Researchers from the University of Murcia, the University of Birmingham, and Semmelweis University will share their findings, followed by an interactive Q&A session.
In the second part of the afternoon, participants are invited to a round table discussion on “Artificial Intelligence and Education: Challenges and Competencies for a Flourishing Future”, featuring contributions from experts across Europe. The seminar is open to all interested students, researchers, and professionals. Attendance is possible on site at Polo di Novoli, D6/1.02, or online via Zoom.
