28/10/2025

EUniWell-Event

As part of the EUniWell Open Lecture Series, Dr. Albert Kümmel-Schnur will be speaking on the topic “Citizen Science Talks: Making impact with a bike” on Tuesday, 28 October at 10:00 CEST / 09:00 BST.

Lecturers: Dr. Albert Kümmel-Schnur, Team Transfer Lehre: Innovation in Academic Teaching, University of Konstanz

About the lecture:

Ever thought about transferring your seminar onto a bike? No? Well, we have. The University of Konstanz, the HTWG Konstanz (Konstanz Polytechnic) and the Pedagogical University of Thurgau (Switzerland) built a seminar room that can be attached like a trailer to a bike. The lecture will explain the idea behind the bike construction, the construction and its problems as well as teaching scenarios that can be realized with the help of the bike.

About the lecturer:

Dr. Albert Kümmel-Schnur is a scholar of literature and media, working as member of the team "Transfer in Teaching" at the University of Konstanz. Together with his colleague Sibylle Mühleisen, he advises and supports teaching projects of all disciplines (as well as transdisciplinary) that cooperate with external partners from civil society.
