Well-Being Incubator: Workshop - Tailoring EUniWell

Universities are traditionally considered places where knowledge is both acquired and generated. In this online workshop, held on Monday, 27 February 2023, from 10:00-17:00 CET / 09:00-16:00 GMT, we aim to envision universities as spaces for learning life-long skills of regeneration for their staff, students and academics. The workshop will allow an invited group of university staff and students to explore practices and ideas piloted in the EUniWell StudentWell project 2022-2023. 

The workshop will be organised by academics from multiple European universities who have collaborated over the last two years to explore offering well-being practices to university students and to measure their impact. The organisers have run pilot studies in four universities investigating how well-being can be developed while working. Data analysis is currently being carried out using a validated multidimensional well-being scale, the Well-being Numerical Rating Scales (WB-NRSs). The ShareToWell project, involving eight European universities, has translated the WB-NRSs from Italian into seven other European languages.

Coordinators from partner universities in the StudentWell and ShareToWell projects will be invited to give a brief practical presentation of their projects including the Alexander Technique, autogenic training, forest bathing and mindfulness. Participants will be invited to share in these gentle well-being practices. In the discussion panel at the end of the workshop, there will be an exchange around the possibilities of having places and interventions in our institutions. The goal of this discussion will be to create a space, where guidance towards the understanding of well-being, flourishing and regeneration for life is available.
