Bringing languages together: plural approaches to French
Draw on the plurality of languages to develop your knowledge of the French language
Course description
In this MOOC, you will be able to share with other learners a pluri/multilingual analysis of the relationship between other languages and the French language. It provides the tools you need to challenge the compartmentalisation of languages. You will be able to deepen your understanding of other languages and cultures and develop your ability to move back and forth between the languages that make up a single, integrated language repertoire.
In summary, with this course you will become familiar with several plurilingual environments, examine what they mean for language learning, and discover recent research in the field of plurilingualism. You will also have plenty of opportunities to share your experiences with other learners so that we can all learn from each other!
Schedule
18 hours of classes in total.
The course is divided into 6 weeks requiring about 3 hours of study per week; however, it is a self-paced program, and students are free to adapt the pace of studies to their needs.
Requirements
Learners should have the following language knowledge:
• French B2
Students must register on the Fun-Mooc platform to access the course content. Enrolment on Fun-Mooc is free and open to all.
