Scandinavian Tourism Management - BIP

Explore tourism in the Nordics from different sustainability aspects

Course description

Within the Summer School Sustainable Futures we are offering blended intensive programs, hybrid courses, with the last week of June onsite in Kalmar, Sweden.

Tourism is an amazing subject to study and is a field of work with endless career opportunities.

As a truly global business with ties across the globe, it brings the most distant and peripheral places into a gigantic cobweb of relations that are of environmental, geographical, economic, social, and cultural natures.

Welcome to be part of the challenge. This course is aimed at exploring the Nordic tourism product, its production and management, and its diversity and challenges.

Practical information for this BIP will be added regularly on the Linnaeus University website.

Schedule

The online sessions will take place between 9 June 2025 and 11 July 2025.

The in-person session will take place from 23 June to 27 June 2025.

Requirements

The Summer School is open both for bachelor and master students in for example business, management, the social sciences and humanities with an interest in tourism, sustainability and well-being.

English level 6 is requested.

PLEASE NOTE: Linnaeus University students cannot apply for the LNU course via EUniWell Courses and Training catalogue. When there are LNU places open, they are advertised and applied for, as usual, in the national Swedish system.
