Course description

Very short, practical dialogues will help you learn the words, expressions and automatic responses you need for everyday communication. The dialogues will be accompanied by grammar points and basic vocabulary. Exercises will allow you to test your knowledge and progress. The training is organised around simple tasks referenced in level A1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

By the end, you will be able to greet people in a simple manner, introduce yourself (name, address and telephone number, profession, origin, occupation), describe your family, ask for directions, use basic polite phrases, book a room and place an order in a restaurant, or make a purchase.

Along with language training, the MOOC emphasises the cultural aspects, essential for interacting with speakers in a respectful manner and understanding their customs and values.
