The image shows a group of small, colourful figurines arranged on a light, solid-coloured background. Each figurine casts a distinct shadow, adding depth to the composition. Notably, one figurine is placed at the front of the group, clearly standing apart and leading forward. This positioning suggests leadership or guidance, with the other figurines positioned behind in a loose, organised formation. The setup highlights individuality while drawing attention to the figure at the forefront as a focal point.

EUniWell Champions Scheme

EUniWell Champions Scheme

The EUniWell Champions Scheme invites senior academics and researchers to take on a leadership role in advancing EUniWell’s mission to foster well-being across universities and society. Through their expertise and vision, EUniWell Champions will contribute to developing the well-being focused future directions of the Alliance.

By October 2027, two Calls for Expressions of Interest for EUniWell Champions will be issued, targeting senior academics eager to embrace short-term leadership roles in disseminating well-being research results and advancing the EUniWell mission both within and beyond the Alliance. EUniWell Champions are envisioned as leading researchers committed to serve as ambassadors for the Alliance, to advance well-being, and to help define strategic directions for EUniWell.

The selected individuals will be pivotal in fostering collaboration and promoting the values and objectives of EUniWell - within their home institutions, throughout the broader academic communities and Associated Partners of the Alliance, and with civil society and policymakers in Europe and beyond.

Following the first Call for Expressions of Interest, launched in January 2025, EUniWell appointed eight senior academics as Champions in July 2025. The Alliance has selected a second cohort of eleven EUniWell Champions in July 2026, further strengthening connections across its academic communities and supporting the Alliance’s mission to advance well-being.

The EUniWell Champions Scheme is open to senior researchers currently employed at the following EUniWell member institutions:

  • University of Cologne
  • University of Florence
  • Inalco
  • University of Konstanz
  • Linnaeus University
  • Nantes Université
  • University of Murcia
  • Universidade de Santiago de Compostela
