Theodoros Marinis is a Professor in the Department of Linguistics and Director of the Centre for Multilingualism at the University of Konstanz. He is also a member of the Cluster of Excellence The Politics of Inequality, where he serves as Principal Investigator in the project Students' Perceptions of Inequality and Fairness. His research focuses on language acquisition and processing, including the nature of language processing in both typical and atypical language development.

As a EUniWell Champion, Marinis aims to build a network of researchers and students to foster sustainable collaboration on multilingualism and well-being within the EUniWell Alliance. Along the way, he explores new opportunities for joint research and teaching, which could lead to innovative research projects, courses, and double degree programmes. In addition, Marinis works with colleagues across EUniWell to organise dissemination and public engagement activities that raise awareness of multilingualism and showcase related best practices in the education and health sectors. For example, he recently spoke at the European Parliament on “Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) in Multilingual Contexts”
