We are excited to announce the EUniWell #Research Conference: Paving The Future, a momentous event celebrating the successful completion of our EUniWell #Research project, funded by the Horizon 2020 programme under the Science with and for Society (SwafS) call. Save the date and join us as we reflect on our research achievements as an Alliance and share the EUniWell Research and Innovation strategic framework.

The EUniWell #Research Conference, taking place on 18 September 2024 at Semmelweis University in Budapest, will convene Vice-Rectors, leading researchers, and experts from EUniWell member universities to deliberate on strategic research initiatives and future directions for the Alliance around the theme of well-being. As outcomes of the EUniWell #Research project, EUniWell has developed a joint Research and Innovation Strategic Framework,encouraged collaboration between researchers from EUniWell institutions, advanced a culture of Open Science, and equipped researchers with new skill sets. The Conference will provide a platform for presentations and discussions focused on key topics such as building a common research ecosystem, catalysing collaborative well-being research, and accelerating the digital transition and the implementation of Open Science approaches. 

A limited number of travel and accommodation bursaries are available for students and staff from EUniWell universities, so we encourage you to sign up as early as possible.

Highlights of the EUniWell  #Research Conference

  1. Inspiring Presentations and Roundtable Discussions: Experience presentations, discussions and knowledge exchange about a common eell-being focused research ecosystem of the Alliance’s member universities and the implementation of Open Science approaches.
  2. Research and Innovation Strategic Framework Launch: Witness the launch of our EUniWell Research and Innovation Strategic Framework, and a roadmap for the Alliance’s future research plans.
  3. Online and On-Site Participation: Attend the conference in-person at Semmelweis University or join virtually from anywhere.

Participation in the EUniWell #Research Conference is free of charge for all (in-person and online) participants. The registration for in-person participation is limited, the registration for online participation is unlimited.

Please note that in-person participation at the conference has a limited number of spots. Selected EUniWell participants can receive funding to cover their travel and accommodation costs. 

The organisers will provide an admission response to all applicants. Each eligible EUniWell university has an equal number of seats. If applications exceed capacity, a waiting list will be implemented. The selected participants will be informed about receiving funding for travel and accommodation by the end of August 2024.

If you join us in-person at the EUniWell #Research Conference on 18 September, we are pleased to invite you to another event in Budapest. The THE University Impact Forum will be organised at Semmelweis University on 19 September and it is open to all interested parties.

The THE University Impact Forum: Health & Well-being 2024 will focus on SDG 3 for “Good Health and Well-being”, and the role that universities play in researching key diseases and conditions, supporting healthcare professions, and looking after the health of students and staff.

The free-of-charge forum will explore innovations, strategies and practical ways of promoting good health and well-being in a higher education setting, as well as highlight and celebrate the vital role that universities play in addressing key global health challenges.
