Course description

The project focuses on enhancing personal growth and wellbeing by leveraging Inner Development Goals (IDGs). These goals are crucial as they address fundamental aspects of human development They are essential for meeting global challenges and fostering a more conscious, collaborative, and sustainable society, as envisaged  in the Sustainable development goals (SDGs). The Inner Development Goals (IDGs) initiative is dedicated to fostering personal growth, striving to bridge the gap between personal development and global transformation, in order to reach collectively SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).  This BIP will offer:
1)    An introduction to IDGs: Provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of IDGs.
2)    Experiential Learning: Utilize in-person sessions to apply principles of experiential education, allowing participants to deeply engage with and embody the IDGs.
3)    Specialized Focus: Explore interconnections between wellbeing and IDGs; explore intersections between other disciplinary fields.


 

Schedule

Online component: 
Session 1 – Presentation of the program & participants; team building
Sessions 2-5 – Presentation of the 5 areas of the IDG framework 
-    Being (Relationship to self)
-    Thinking (cognitive skills)
-    relating (caring for others and the world)
-    collaborating (social skills)
-    acting (enabling change)
Small groups will be established according to proximity and/or thematic interests of participants in order to realize small projects.

In-presence component:
during the 5 days in presence specific skills for each IDG area will be explored, based both the expertise of faculty and the specific interests of participants. Results of the implementation of the small projects will be shared and discussed.
