EUniWell’s strategy focuses on achieving a social entrepreneurial mindset in the field of sustainable development by fostering creative problem-solving skills, practical and social intelligence as well as adaptability and leadership abilities. To trigger social entrepreneurship opportunities, student entrepreneurs running start-ups in the EUniWell universities’ incubators will meet for the first time at Nantes Université on 24-25 November 2022.

EUniWell has an ambitious agenda on social entrepreneurship, with the goal to develop an entrepreneurship exchange programme, supporting students launching their start-up social enterprises in the field of well-being. This action is led by the Entrepreneurship working group, composed of educators and start-up incubator members who bring their expertise to empower student entrepreneurs.

As part of this programme, social entrepreneurship initiatives will be embedded in the universities’ incubators in order to liaise with investors willing to support sustainable business models in the area of well-being. In addition, courses on social entrepreneurship are being developed and will be available online in 2023.

To celebrate the launch of the EUniWell start-up exchange programme, 10 student entrepreneurs from 5 EUniWell universities have been selected and will gather in Nantes on24 and 25 November 2022, to encourage synergies and the exchange of best practices.

All projects are carried out by early-stage entrepreneurs with a clear entrepreneurial project connected to one of the two United Nations Sustainable Development Goals at the heart of EUniWell: “Health and Well-Being” (SDG3) and “Environment and Well-Being” (SDG 11).

Below is a list of the promising start-ups that will take part in this first edition of the EUniWell start-up exchange programme:

Wahlstam Holistic: Anna Wahlstam develops material for a digital platform in order to inspire cancer sufferers to get moving during and after their cancer treatment, in line with the research currently being carried out in this area. The short film clips are recorded in scenic environments, as research also shows the healing power of nature. Focus lies in inspiration where Anna, herself affected by cancer, works as a motivator for the users. Since it is a digital solution, it means that more people can take part in it and it’s to the advantage of those susceptible to infection. The content consists of exercise, meditation, yoga, coaching and community.

Tabberas: With rising inflation and a supply crisis, Tabberas aspires to save food, time, and money for its users. The application matches the ingredients you have at home with recipes shared by users from all over the world and suggests a set of recipes based on the closest due dates. Tabberas wants to spread a ‘consume instead of waste’ motto through a functional mobile app that facilitates shopping, storing, and cooking.
