Open Education: Use Cases from EUniWell Universities
11:00 – 11:50 (CEST) / 10:00 – 10:50 (BST)
In this webinar, members of the OER Declaration Working Group will share their experiences of using open educational resources (OER) and open educational practices in a range of university teaching contexts and disciplines:
- Franco Bagnoli and Francesca Nerattini from the University of Florence will present on their experiences of open education in physics, particularly the use of YouTube videos and websites with interactive material.
- Colin de la Higuera from the University of Nantes will talk about Project X5-GON (a Horizon 2020-funded project), which involves the creation of an extensive collection of OERs and curated indices, all analysed with AI. Students can share OERs via a Moodle plug-in.
- Alastair Creelman from Linnaeus University will present on their teacher development course, Open Networked Learning, that they have been running since 2014, together with partner institutions. (See https://www.opennetworkedlearning.se)
The webinar will be facilitated by Gabi Witthaus and Jeremy Kidwell from the University of Birmingham.
