EUniWell Open Lecture Series

EUniWell Open Lecture Series

Bringing together expertise across disciplines and cultures, the EUniWell Open Lecture Series promotes knowledge-sharing and international cooperation while making pressing societal topics accessible to a wide audience.

It provides a platform for dialogue on key societal challenges and their impact on individual and collective well-being. Recognised scholars, researchers, and educators from across EUniWell universities share insights and analyses on topics linked to EUniWell’s areas of work. The lectures are organised in thematic series with different focus points.

All sessions take place online via Zoom and include opportunities for discussion. Participation is free and open to all – please see the programme for details and join directly via Zoom.

Upcoming lectures in the academic year 2025/2026

Citizen Science Talks

EUniWell is united by a shared commitment to civic engagement in research and education as a way to increase social and individual well-being. Civic engagement and co-creational approaches in research and education contribute to the promotion of democratic values and to an increased trust in the scientific knowledge as central to societal and environmental progress.

The Citizen Science Talks Lecture Series aims to encourage and showcase best-practice examples of civic engagement and co-creation in research and education in an accessible way, promoting interdisciplinary and participatory methods, both locally and across the EUniWell alliance. Lectures will focus on the impact of civic engagement on individual and societal well-being.

Well-Being, Health and Ageing

The Lecture Series on Well-Being, Health and Ageing is a initiative aimed at fostering dialogue around the themes of ageing, psychological and social health, and the promotion of active lifestyles across the lifespan. The series brings together scholars, students, professionals, and international experts to discuss the challenges and opportunities of ageing societies.

This series is particularly focused on the promotion of active ageing, a concept that goes beyond the biomedical to embrace social, cultural, and occupational dimensions of ageing. The lectures seek to highlight the complex interplay between health, identity, and social context throughout the life course.

More open lectures will be published here regularly.
