First EUniWell Summer School starts at the University of Florence
The first EUniWell summer school is about to start. From 28 June to 1 July, Dr. Lali Lindell and Prof. Dr. Francesco Fuso-Nerinis will give lectures revolving around well-being entrepreneurship in tourism and sustainability perspectives for assessing and designing research, projects and policies. Hosted on the campus of the University of Florence, the courses are intended to provide participants with an international experience and unique opportunity to acquire new knowledge and skills in an international environment.
The programme will open with a general introduction to well-being tourism by Dr. Lindell. Continuing her lecture series on day two, she will provide an overview on current trends in tourism, zooming in on the increasing demand for healthy, green, ethical, and spiritual experiences. This will be followed by talks on the 6-pillar concept of well-being tourism on 30 June, and a look at best practice examples in well-being tourism on 1 July.
Prof. Dr. Fuso-Nerini will kick off his lectures with an introduction to sustainability, honing in on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in particular. Building on this, his second lecture will draw the connection between SDGs and climate change, while his third course will focus on the key role of energy systems in achieving the SDGs. He will conclude the four-day summer school with a view to the role artificial intelligence may play in reaching SDGs.
