On the 29–30 March 2025, Semmelweis University hosted the 10th edition of the Semmelweis Health Competition. This milestone event was further enhanced by the presence of the EUniWell Student Board, whose visit emphasised the international collaboration across universities.

A group of young adults pose indoors in front of a large EUniWell banner. The banner features a map and sections titled “International Events”, “Mobility Offers”, “Joint Degrees”, “Well-Being Incubator Programme”, and “Seed Funding Programme”. Text on the left reads: “euni well – European University for Well-Being”.

A large lecture hall filled with students, with a stage showing the logo of the “X. Semmelweis Egészségverseny” event. Banners on stage read “Semmelweis Egészségverseny Döntő”, “euni well – European University for Well-Being” and “Budapesti Orvostanhallgatók Egyesülete”.

The visit by representatives of the EUniWell Student Board provided not only an opportunity to participate in the Health Competition, but also to foster personal connections and lay the foundations for future cooperation. In this spirit, the weekend began with a welcoming dinner on Friday, encouraging connections among participants and the local EUniWell team.

Shaping the Future: Vision for the EUniWell School Ambassador Programme

On the following day, a key element of the programme was the joint exploration of the future direction of the EUniWell School Ambassador Programme. The discussion, led by Federica Roldi and Dr Máté Baka, focused on increasing engagement and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the initiative. Participants also co-developed activities for an EUniWell information station featured in the Health Competition, where visiting high school students had the opportunity to engage with the concept and members of EUniWell in a playful and accessible format.

In addition to this, the EUniWell Student Board held several in-person sessions throughout the weekend, which provided space for meaningful dialogue, reflection, and the planning of future cross-campus projects.

Strengthening Bonds Through Dialogue and Discovery

Alongside the professional agenda, the programme also offered opportunities for informal exchange and cultural enrichment, such as a sightseeing boat tour offering stunning views of Budapest's illuminated landmarks from the Danube. Therefore, the EUniWell Student Board Meeting, held alongside the Semmelweis Health Competition, provided not only space for professional development but also a truly enriching community experience for the international student representatives — once again demonstrating Semmelweis University’s commitment to European collaboration and student engagement.
