EUniWell successfully launched on 17 November 2020
The official Launch Day of EUniWell took place yesterday, on 17 November 2020, in digital space. The Launch Day was kicked off in the morning by a welcome video of the seven Rectors of EUniWell’s partner universities, followed by a live panel discussion with the Vice-Rectors of the EUniWell Board, who introduced some of the core components of the alliance and its work programme. The Vice-Rectors’ panel discussion was moderated by Judith Barth (EUniWell Chief Student Officer) and Rebecca Esselgren (EUniWell Student Officer). This event was followed by the official launch of the EUniWell Student Board as the central forum for student participation in EUniWell.
At noon EUniWell launched its 2nd Seed-Funding Call directed at researchers, educators, students and staff from the consortium, who are invited to submit collaborative project proposals until 29 January 2021. In the afternoon the Launch Day featured a live panel discussion about “Well-Being from an Academic Perspective”, chaired by Professor Giorgia Giovannetti (Università degli Studi di Firenze), with the four experts Dr. Daniel Alvunger (Linnéuniversitetet), Professor Ghozlane Fleury (Université de Nantes), Professor Bea Pászthy (Semmelweis Egyetem) and Dr Daniel Wheatley (University of Birmingham) as discussants. The programme was concluded by seven pitch presentations of young researchers from all seven partner universities who presented their research field in relation to well-being in short pitch videos. Two Open Meeting Rooms allowed to freely meet up and exchange ideas on research on well-being.
The scheduled programme was accompanied by several all-day long formats introducing the seven partner universities and highlighting prior activities of the EUniWell alliance. All videos can still be watched on our homepage.
EUniWell is excited about the participation in the different Launch Day events, which attracted about 550 viewers on the day. We would like to warmly thank all our contributors and participants who have helped to make this day a success. Let’s now start with bringing EUniWell to life!
