The first edition of Unifi Green Week will take place from 17 to 22 April 2023, ending on Earth Day. The event aims to raise awareness and help safeguard the planet. During this week, students from all EUniWell universities will be welcomed in Florence for the “Education Towards a Sustainable Future” course offered by the EUniWell Teacher Education Arena.

From 17 to 22 April 2023, the first Unifi Green Week will take place at the University of Florence. The main aim of Green Week is to raise awareness of the issues that have a direct impact on the future of younger generations. Although much has already been said about sustainable development, we often fail to realise that it only takes little to have a positive impact on curbing environmental degradation or developing social welfare. Small everyday acts can in fact have positive effects on collective well-being. A variety of events will take place throughout the week addressing the entire academic community (students, researchers, staff, professors).

The programme includes clean-ups, a swap party, lectures, films, repair workshops, hiking, and guided tours.

Simultaneously, the course “Education Towards a Sustainable Future” offered by the EUniWell Teacher Education Arena will take place in Florence, intersecting with Green Week’s events. On this occasion, future teachers will have the opportunity to develop and learn more about important sustainability-related skills in the field of education.
