Open Science Meet-Up: The FAIR Principles

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the FAIR Principles’ publication. In the last ten years, FAIR has become one of the core guidelines in research data management. The acronym FAIR represents the key objectives of research data management, namely making research data findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable so they can be used on a (more) sustainable basis. In this meet-up, the data steward at the University of Konstanz’ Team Open Science, Theres Rudolph, will elaborate on what (else) the terms entails, how, in general terms, research data can be made FAIR and why researchers and Open Science professionals should bother with this. After the talks, we are looking to responding to any questions you may have. Beyond that, we would be eager to find out how widespread the FAIRification of data is in other countries. Everyone is warmly invited – no registration required.
