About this lecture:
The talk will cover definitions of diversity and inclusion, as well as the benefits and pitfalls of diversity. It will explore how to increase diversity and make it work. At the same time, it will focus on barriers such as prejudice, bias, and discrimination, and how to reduce them. Amanda Heath will present research from the “Diversity in the Labour Market” group at Linnaeus University, including work from psychologists and economists.
About the lecturer:
Amanda Heath is a work and organisational psychologist researching in the “Diversity in the Labour Market” group at Linnaeus University. She obtained a doctorate at Linnaeus University in 2023 on the topic of increasing diversity in recruitment. She previously worked for many years as a university lecturer in the UK and has a background in cognitive and forensic psychology.
