After the completion of their studies or (post) doctorate, many are faced with the challenge of embarking on a new career path outside academia. What are the options and how do you find suitable positions?

In this lecture, different topics that relate to career development and job applications will be presented and discussed, while keeping in mind that career decisions are not made overnight.

Contents of this session:

  1. Prepare your self-presentation and strategic answers.
  2. Learn how to respond to illegal or very personal questions.

The talk is intended as a short impulse and due to this event’s short character, there will be no certificates handed out to participants. It is designed for the interaction between participants, therefore we ask you to turn on your camera for an exchange at eye level.

Please keep in mind that the focus of this impulse session is specifically the German non-academic job market.
