Course description

The Erasmus+ Staff Week "inclusive.together" explores diversity, inclusion, and well-being in the context of international higher education. As universities become more globalized and their student and staff populations more diverse, it is essential for International Relations Offices to address and actively engage with both the challenges and the opportunities this development presents. Diversity in international higher education is not merely a consequence of globalization - it is a core value that empowers institutions to advance academic excellence, drive innovation, and fulfil their social responsibility. For International Relations Offices, this means understanding international mobility as a strategic tool to design inclusive structures, ensure equitable participation, and support the well-being of diverse communities within globally connected academic environments.

This Staff Week, funded by Erasmus+, supports the European agenda for inclusive and values-based internationalization by providing a structured space to explore how diversity, inclusion, and well-being can be embedded into international mobility frameworks. As a member of the European University for Well-Being (EUniWell), the University of Konstanz contributes to this vision by linking international cooperation with institutional strategies for equity, participation, and academic flourishing. The program offers International Relations Offices the opportunity to reflect on their role in shaping inclusive mobility pathways, to exchange effective practices, and to jointly develop approaches that align internationalization efforts with broader institutional goals of social cohesion, equal access, and sustainable well-being in higher education.

The event will be structured as a Blended Intensive Programme (BIP), with an introductory online session followed by a five-day on-site program at the University of Konstanz, set in its scenic winter location between the Alps and Lake Constance.
